Oat Breakfast Biscuits Recipe

Step 1

Preheat oven to 180c/160c fan/Gas mark 4.

Step 2

Mix the flour, baking powder, porridge Oats together.

Step 3

Melt the butter in a saucepan for 2-3 minutes with the golden syrup.

Step 4

Add to the dry ingredients with the beaten egg and milk.

Step 5

Mix together well, until the mix forms a ball refrigerate for 45 minutes.

Step 6

Flour a rolling out surface, divide the mix into three and roll out to a thickness of 5mm and use your chosen cutter to out as many biscuits as you can.

Step 7

You will need to keep re-rolling the mix on a floured surface regularly flouring the rolling pin until all the cookie mix is used up.

Step 8

Line two baking trays with baking parchment leave a little space between each cookie.

Step 9

Bake for 10-15 minutes or until golden brown.

Step 10

Allow to cool on a cooling rack enjoy with a nice cup of tea or coffee!
