Categories: breakfast snacks vegan syrups Yields 1kg (2lbs 4oz) Prep Time 10 minutes Cook Time 25 minutes Ingredients Ingredients 2 tbsp vegetable oil 150g (5oz) Lyle's Golden Syrup 1 tsp vanilla extract 200g (7oz) whole almonds 200g (7oz) pecans 200g (7oz) hazelnuts 250g (9oz) rolled oats Ground cinnamon to taste Instructions Cook up a batch of great granola: Preheat the oven to 150°C/130° Fan, 300°F, Gas 2 while you mix the oil, Lyle's Golden Syrup and vanilla extract in a large bowl. Add all the nuts and the oats and mix well, then add just as much cinnamon as you fancy. Tip the granola into a lightly greased roasting tin and spread out evenly. Bake on the middle shelf for 25 minutes, stirring from time to time, until gorgeously golden brown. Remove from the oven, cool, and store in an airtight container.
