Instructions

Step 1

Preheat the oven to 160C / 350F, then grease and line a 9 x 9-inch square baking tin with non-stick baking parchment.

Step 2

In a large saucepan, melt the butter, Lyle's Golden Syrup and sugars over a low to medium heat, stirring every now and then with a wooden spoon.

Step 3

Add the oats and mix again, until everything is thoroughly combined.

Step 4

Mix through the mincemeat and mixed spice, then press into your prepared baking tin.

Step 5

Bake in the oven for 30-35 minutes until lightly golden brown, then remove from the oven and use a sharp knife to gently score the flapjacks into rectangular bars.

Step 6

Leave to cool completely in the tin before removing and cutting properly.
