WHAT IS GOULASH?

Goulash is a traditional Hungarian dish. It’s a stew or a soup containing meat, vegetables, and spices – often including paprika.

It’s super easy to make this tasty dish. Follow this simple 3-step recipe for some delicious beany goulash goodness!

HOW TO MAKE BEAN GOULASH

Step 1

First, heat your oven to 180C (160Cfan/ gas 4). Cook the onions in a flameproof casserole dish with oil over a medium heat for about 3-4 minutes, stirring occasionally.

Step 2

Next, add in the pieces of bacon and cook for a further 5 minutes until they start to colour.

Step 3

Finally, add in the rest of the ingredients and bring to simmer. Cover the dish and place in the oven to cook for 1 hour. Alternatively, you can simmer on the hob for approximately 40 minutes.
