Christmas dinner doesn’t just happen it’s a labour of love, and for 77% of festive cooks, the magic starts on Christmas Eve. Lyle’s research found that the most common early Christmas dinner prep is for carrots and parsnips (39%), followed by roast potatoes (36%) and brussels sprouts (31%), with other favourites like mince pies (26%), Christmas pudding (24%) and glazed ham (17%) also prepared in advance.When the big day arrives, the kitchen becomes the heart of the home, with Brits spending over three hours crafting their festive masterpiece.
