  • 1kg frozen mixed berries such as blackcurrants, redcurrants, blueberries, raspberries
  • 6 tablespoons of Lyle's Golden Syrup
  • 225g butter
  • 300g plain flour
  • 150g of Tate & Lyle Demerara Sugar
  • 150g porridge oats
  • Pinch ground cinnamon

Instructions

Preheat the oven to 200C/400F/Gas 6. Lighly grease the inside of your ovenproof dish

If you are using berries from the freezer, they can be used from frozen. Simply put them in the dish and drizzle with Lyle's Golden Syrup, they will release their own juice.

Cut the butter into small cubes and put in a large bowl with the flour. Gently rub the two together with your fingertips. When you are arrive at a texture like breadcrumbs add Tate & Lyle Sugar, oat and cinnamon and blend in well.

Spread the crumble mix loosely over the berries - a little higher in the centre as it may sink a little when cooking. You can sprinkle a little more sugar on top for extra crumch if you wish.

Bake in the oven for 35-40 min until golden brown.
